April’s love in storytelling began in the form of dance, theatre, photography, and painting. She wrote her first murder mystery in 4th grade starring a pernicious female detective named J.R. Cardinal. After a career in big tech, she’s now a recovering techie and spends her time dreaming of worlds where innovation is used for collective good.

When's she's not writing, she’s getting lost in a gothic story, plotting female heroines to take over the world, and meeting new bookish friends. She lives in NC with her husband and two feline overlords.
